About Us
Good Morning Good Day Cafe is a unique cafe, bakery, and Eastern European restaurant located in Streator, IL. We specialize in Slovenian and Croatian cuisine and serve the best crepes and coffee around. We also offer fresh fruit, baguettes, salads, soups, schnitzel, apple strudel, and more. We also make a commitment to sustainability by using recycled, repurposed, and reused materials throughout our cafe. Our private dining room is available for special occasions. Founded in 2022, Good Morning Good Day Cafe has become a staple in the Streator community. We strive to provide the best Eastern European cuisine and coffee in town, and we take pride in our commitment to sustainability. I went there earlier this year with a friend. The space was decorated beautifully with products from Streator establishments (which I thought was great for the city). The percolated coffee was truly the best I ever had, and it’s served with real cream. The next time I went it was with my husband. I ordered the smoked salmon baguette. It was so well done that I ordered it the next day and picked it up for home. The desserts are spectacular and our server’s personality was friendly and personable. I highly recommend this Streator gem.

My Husband and I stopped by for some breakfast and music. The food was fabulous with high quality and home grown ingredients. It was our first visit and won't be our last. Our server was wonderfully attentive in a classy uniform. We loved that our food was served on beautiful glassware as a nod to Streator. Such a charming restaurant that didn't disappoint with excellent food and appropriate serving sizes. We also enjoyed live music from Jake and Nate on alto sax and cello. Perfect Saturday morning relaxation.

6 of us had 3 starters and all were very tasty, especially the Scotch eggs. The main entres were large servings at a reasonable price. We had the apple strudel for dessert that was a flavorful finish to a delightful evening.
